Halloween fans ‘converging’ on Philadelphia for two days of fun, fright and frolic
Halloween fans from near and far will “converge” on Philadelphia on Friday the 13th for a mid-year Halloween fix.
Home of haunted historical happenings—Philadelphia is the ideal eerie backdrop for this annual glorification to ghoulishness, known as the Global Halloween Convergence
Geared for grown-ups, the Convergence, according to event coordinator Rochelle Santopoalo, “is a great chance run away from home for two days of fun, fright and frolic with people who are as hopelessly in love with Halloween as you are.”
The two-day event will be packed with Halloween-themed activities including a guided tour of Mutter’s Museum and Laurel Hill Cemetery, a flashlight tour of the Eastern State Penitentiary, and a private viewing of Randy Bates’ Motel and Haunted Hayride followed by a barbecue of monstrous proportions.
Best Western City Center Hotel is the site for the frivolities where discount rates are available upon registration until May 23, 2014.
An intimate event, space is limited to 80 attendees. Advance registration is required. The event is open to the public.
